CHECK OUT THE NEW K18 CONNECT BEGINNING JANUARY 2026
Apart from scheduled fixed route services, we also offer origin-to-destination "demand-response" general public transportation. We schedule vehicles and drivers today to meet the demand for rides tomorrow.Part of this service includes traveling to areas in the Flint Hills Region that are not immediately accessible to the Fixed Routes in Manhattan and Junction City or daily Demand Response services.
The areas included in this service include but are not limited to:
Northern Riley County (Leonardville, Riley, Randolph)
Ogden
Geary County
St. George

Fort Riley Service
Service to and from Fort Riley is available Monday through Friday via pre-scheduled rides.
Rural Geary County Service
If you live in Rural Geary County, including but not limited to Milford, Grandview Plaza, etc., you can access the ATA Bus service. The service offered is a curb-to-curb service where we will pick you up from the location you provide and take you to the location of your choice within Geary County. You must call and schedule these rides during our typical accepted pick-up/drop-off times.
Wamego Service This service has been suspended indefinitely beginning January 1, 2022.

Demand Response service is available to persons in Ogden who qualify through the eligibility requirements that can be found here.
Northern Riley County Service
If you live in Northern Riley County, including but not limited to Leonardville, Riley, Randolph, etc., you can access ATA Bus service three days a week. You must call and schedule these rides during one of the accepted pick-up/drop-off times which can be found below.
Costs
The ride to your destination will cost $4.00.
The ride back to your location will cost $4.00.
Additional stops in between your pick-up and drop-off cost $2.00 each.
K18 Connect Route - STARTING JANUARY 2026
Closing the gap and building the region, K18 Connect brings together three communities on one route. This new regional service links Junction City, Manhattan, and Ogden, making it easier than ever to travel across the Flint Hills for work, school, shopping, connecting the Flint Hills one ride at a time.

If you live within Ogden, you may qualify for a deviated fixed route stop along the K18 Connect. This means the bus will come to your door to pick you up/drop you off during the route.
